We are currently in the process of finalising the selection of the student leadership team for 2014. As usual, there are a number of outstanding candidates for these positions.
In Term 3, Year 8 spent a delightful day in Darlinghurst at the Sydney Jewish Museum. Students in these particular classes were looking at specific holocaust texts.
The College welcomed Reverend Father Antwan Mikhael, from Melbourne, Australia and Subdeacon Benjamin Aywas, from Chicago, USA, on Monday 5th August.
As charity work and almsgiving is a key Christian attribute, St Narsai Assyrian Christian College will be participating in the annual Jeans for Genes day fundraiser.
On Friday, Year 12 Business Studies class attended a study day held at Penrith High School. It was organized by Western Sydney Social Science Teachers Association.
Mar Narsai Assyrian College has been accepted in the National Partnership Schools Program for 2013. Mr. Dinkha, Mrs. Piccione and Mrs. Hormoz spent two days at the AIS.
As this is our last newsletter for this Term, I take this opportunity to thank all parents and guardians who have supported our school by attending information meetings.
This week we celebrated the Middle of Soma, (Lent), in the old Assyrian tradition by cooking cupcakes and placing wooden crosses in some.
