Selection Process

The selection process will be by written application and a panel interview. The written application will include:

  • In addition to the application form, a 300 to 500 word essay indicating the student's special interests, achievements, as outlined in the criteria, and the contribution the student would make to the life of the College. (To be submitted as part of the application).
  • Two reference letters supporting the candidate's chosen activities
  • The applicant's most recent school report and NAPLAN test results
  • The panel interview will include members of the Scholarship Selection Committee.

Declaration

I understand that if I am selected as one of the recipients of the Mar Meelis Scholarship at St Narsai Assyrian Christian College, the scholarship is conditional of the following:

  1. A scholarship holder will endeavour to maintain a high level of academic achievement
  2. In all areas of schoo life, a scholarship holder must be a positive role model amd fully support the ethos and values of the College
  3. A scholarship holder's performance will be reviewed annually in terms of their participation in College sport and their all-round performance in both co-curricular and academic studies
  4. Scholarship covers tuition fees for years 7-12 (for Year 7 Scholarship recipients) and Years 11 and 12 (for Year 11 Scholarship recipients)

Note:Should the student leave St Narsai Assyrian Christian College the scholarship will no longer be valid at another school. Scholarship recipients will be subject to an annual review of their academic achievements and extra-curricular involvements.

Applications for 2021 close 20th July 2020

Applications for 2022 close 25th September2020. Note: If you are successful for a 2022 scholarship a 'Conditional Offer' will be offered. However, your scholarship will only be awarded if you meet all the conditions in your offer letter.
