Our Key Points of Difference

Our Teaching Philosophy

Our teaching philosophy is centred on empowering students to flourish in today’s dynamic world. We achieve this by cultivating essential knowledge, skills, and character traits through a framework that integrates Visible Learning and Deep Learning. The Deep Learning method, a globally recognised approach, supports the holistic development of our students, nurturing them to become future leaders. We are committed to helping our students master the following 6 Deep Learning Competencies:

Collaboration

Students work interdependently as a team demonstrating interpersonal and team-related skills and social, emotional, and intercultural skills. This involves students managing team dynamics and challenges.

Creativity

Students are engaged in asking the right inquiry questions and pursuing and expressing novel ideas and solutions involved in economic and social entrepreneurialism. Students are encouraged to demonstrate leadership to turn ideas into action.

Critical Thinking

Students evaluate information and arguments and make connections and identify patterns. Students experiment, reflect, and take action on ideas in the real world.

Citizenship

Students participate in learning with a global perspective and demonstrate a commitment to human equity and well-being through empathy and compassion for diverse values and world views. There is a focus on a genuine interest in human and environmental sustainability. Students participate in solving ambiguous and complex problems in the real world to benefit citizens.

Character

Students develop a proactive stance toward life and learning to learn. Grit, tenacity, perseverance, and resilience are developed. Empathy, compassion, and integrity are put into action during learning.

Communication

Students demonstrate communication designed for audience and impact with a message that advocates a purpose and makes an impact. Students reflect to further develop and improve communication. Student voice and identity is expressed to advance humanity.
