English
English emphasises the connection between language and meaning, with a focus on text comprehension and creation. Activities encompass speaking, listening, reading, writing, viewing, and representing various text forms.
Students engage with print, spoken, visual, media, multimedia, and digital texts to explore language and literature. Their skills are enhanced through responding to a range of texts and composing diverse types in different contexts.


Mathematics
Mathematics cultivates students’ proficiency in Number, Algebra, Measurement, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability. Emphasis is on refining understanding, fluency, communication, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. Numeracy skills are prioritised for real-life application. Supportive, tailored programs enhance foundational skills in Mathematics and exceptional students may also join the accelerated Mathematics program.


Science
In Science, students explore the biological, chemical, geological, physical, and technological aspects of our world.
St Narsai offers advanced Science Laboratories, facilitating interactive, collaborative learning equal to universities.
Students will investigate and foster scientific thinking and problem-solving. Student-centered learning emphasises practical applications and experimentation, cultivating independent analytical skills and technological insights.


Technology & Applied Sciences (TAS)
Our classrooms feature cutting-edge technology, fostering ICT integration to enhance students’ technical skills. Technology courses offer diverse practical experiences, covering contemporary and emerging technologies.
The TAS department offers advanced facilities for Food Technology, Textiles, Timber and Robotics. Students gain insight into technology’s influence and develop problem-solving skills to address personal, social, and global challenges.


Human Society in its Environment (HSIE)
History and Geography are core subjects from Years 7 to 10. In Years 9 to 12, students have the option to select from various humanities subjects such as Commerce, Economics, Business Studies, Society and Culture, Legal Studies, and Studies of Religion. These HSIE subjects enhance students’ awareness of local, national, and global issues, fostering active citizenship. VET courses are offered in Retail Services and Business Services, with practical work experience opportunities.


Christian Studies
Christian Studies centres on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the nurturing of Christian faith, aligned with the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East. The curriculum covers essential Christian doctrines, drawing from scripture, tradition, liturgy, and life, the course aims to cultivate students’ interest in God and deepen their spiritual journey. The ultimate goal is to empower students to embody the College’s spiritual motto “In Him We Grow” through knowledge, commitment, and devotion.


Assyrian Language
Assyrian language is studied in Years K-10 for its national, cultural and religious values. It aims to encourage our students to take pride in learning their language, history and culture through equipping them with the necessary language skills.
Students participate in cultural and community activities such as Assyrian New Year, cooking traditional Assyrian foods and Assyrian dance classes, ensuring Assyrian customs and traditions are taught and maintained for future generations.


Creative & Performing Arts (CAPA)
Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) involves purposeful, imaginative interpretations through Music and Visual Arts. Students explore various art forms, learning to appreciate, compose, listen, and perform. Each art form offers unique skills, concepts, and inspiration, fostering creative and expressive capacities. Advanced courses in Music and Visual Arts are offered in Stage 6 HSC courses. The CAPA department provides diverse opportunities and high quality facilities for students to engage in a range of extracurricular activities.


Personal Development, Health & Physical Education (PDHPE)
PDHPE is a core subject from Years 7 to 10, and an elective option in Years 9 to 12, fosters holistic student development. Students explore health, safety, and well-being issues, engaging in challenging physical activities to enhance movement skills. The school provides facilities such as indoor sports stadium, basketball courts, soccer pitches, and grassed ovals. PDHPE classes aim to equip students with resilience and coping skills, preparing them for a healthy adulthood.
