Dear Parents, Students, and friends of the College,
It is so pleasing to witness students
doing their best daily in every
classroom and in every learning
setting.
It is with much pleasure that I welcome
you, our existing families back to St.
Narsai College. I also extend a very
warm welcome to the new families
and students from Year 7 and from
other years who have joined our
college community this year. I pray.
you and your families have had a
wonderful start to 2023
What a year 2021 has been! We did
start the year as usual and then
came the hard lockdown and the
many public health challenges and
unpredictable changes that affected
all of us, especially our valued
students.
The college organised a well-timed and wonderful send-off for our Year 12 students last Thursday in Building B before the commencement of their HSC examinations the following week. Considering current COVID related restrictions and the delays imposed on year 12 students, the Graduation had to be held at the college and regrettably our valued parents could not join us in this graduation because of the restrictions.
It was wonderful to welcome our Year 12 2021 and Year 12 2022 back to school this Monday. Students were very happy to catch up with each other and with their teachers and restart their school-based learning.
No doubt we are all tired of the
current lockdown and the associated, albeit necessary restrictions. However, we remain hopeful that things will get better in NSW, and we look forward to the end of the lockdown
The College has been collaborating with an external provider to upgrade its website and I am pleased to report that we are getting close to launching the new website soon.
Congratulations to His Grace Mar Benyamin Elya for
last Sunday’s grand opening of the new St. Abdisho
Assyrian Centre on the St Abdisho Church site in
Melbourne.
Welcome back to term two and I pray you had a restful Easter. Term two is known for being a very busy time for
everyone as students and teachers prepare for mid-year assessments and Semester One examinations by the end of the term.
